How can I generate some traffic....I would like to troubleshoot some load balancing problems but after I get the configuration run, I don't know how to simulate traffic.
Here is what I am trying to do:
simulate 2 providers with 3 T1 (PPP) running BGP4. I would like to understand the path selection for incoming and outgoing traffic, but not sure how..
Any help?
Thanks

| If you're not focused on volume, a simple tracreroute should do the trick! Is there any reason why that would not be sufficient? |

I guess traceroute would work but I guess if I created 3 more routers on the same subnet of the other 3 routers, I could verify BGP was working by tracertoue to each remote router.
e.g.
R1 R6 in AS100
R2 R5 in AS200
R3 R4 in AS300
setup bgp on R7 and R1 R2 R3 and then tracertoue to R4 R5 R6 should each use a different path..
I will give it a try. |
